CARAMBOLA 38 Year 1987
Built by the specialised shipyard AGM in AG4 aluminium, on a round bottom hull layout by Philippe Harlé, this elegant centerboarder with aft centreboard has been totally reviewed by the actual owner in 2009 and 2010. Standind rigging, sails, engine, elctricity, electronics, heater, upholstery... all has been at least checked or changed. Autonomy in electricity, heater, insulation, 2 double cabins, forward Breton berth and two 2m long settees in the saloon: the boat is ready to sail away for nice family cruises. Easy to handle as two people or even solo in the protected cockpit with aluminium watch shelter.
I purchased this boat to sail transatlantic and then along the south american coasts to Patagonia channels and back. I therefore cared about material quality, because it is important to me and also for safety reasons, especially in the situation of long distance sailing. I made technical choices according to my offshore program. As a professional electronician / electrician, I took care of this matter and let other professionals handle other material. The trip went very well as it had been well prepared and we came back 14 months later. I put this solid and loyal boat for sale to now sail fast and local with friends on a RM.
