GAEL 43 Year 1992
Built in steel and stainless steel, this long trip, bright and insulated cutter has just come back from 12 years sailing in the Carribean. The owners used to live 6 months per year onboard. Perfectly maintained, the standing rigging and the mast have been replaced before the transatlantic to Europe in 2017. Equipped with a recent 100CV engine, a 50l/h water maker and good gasoil capacity, the boat could also be interesting for sailing in cold areas, considering the addition of pulsed air heating system in the engine room. Nice sailing performance and light heeling make sailing easy and carefree. A real long trip unit carefully maintained!
Owner's words
We got our Gael 43 in 2003 and started the repair to take her to the Carribean. We crossed the Atlantic and stayed on the other side for 12 years, 6 months onboard, 6 months on land. We have maintained, optimised and equipped her with pleasure to make her safe. Never paying attention to expenses, we have sorted out every little detail as we were almost living onboard. What we enjoyed the most is the light getting in through the large windows, the friendly saloon, the nice aft cabins. The " home style" comfort is provided by the light heeling: cooking during cruising (oven, freezer...) even under an average of 7 knot speed, sometimes up to 10 knots - the boat keeps inertia and soft in the swell.
