GARCIA 48 Year 2002
This aluminium André Mauric weighted centerboarder cutter was built at the famous Garcia yard with a round bilged hull including a stability chine. She is seaworthy and able to sagfely reach every destination you may imagine. Gimbaled chart table, watch station, U-shaped galley with plenty of room to store food and items, sea bunks, stainless steel stove...
Over sized deck fittings and rigging, shallow draft, she is in a perfect general condition.
Owner's words
I discovered this boat in La Rochelle with Christian Picard, as I came to buy my Sun Kiss 47. At this time, we did not have the money to buy such a boat even if we fell in love with her at first glance. After we came back sailing around the atlantic, we got back to work and decided to buy the bernard Deguy's Osiris in 2009. We had her equipped for the projects we had to sail the Norwegian fjords.
We hope the AYC teams will find the keen amateur next owner of this Mauric design built to sail the world.
