GRAND SUD 42 Year 1996165 000 € VAT paid
Built in epoxy plywood by Sud Composite on Daniel Tortarollo layout. An original cruiser, warm welcoming, providing 4 nice double cabins, 2 shower rooms and 2 separated heads. The interior joinery is remarkable, the saloon cosy and bright, ventilated and open to the outside. This is the assurance of non boring life onboard. Performant fittings and structured rigging make the boat efficient during navigation. The front trempoline has been replaced by a deep and safe cockpit, under sails as well as at anchor, especially for children. A unit to sail fast and far, safe and with elegance.
We fell in love with this catamaran and purchased her from her owner in 2013 who was no longer sailing. I then took the boat to Multi Composite shipyard in Canet. The mast has been taken off, the boat wintered. All fixed portholes have been replaced, as well as all wooden frames. An additonal tanker put in the forelocker. The boat has been entirely repainted (hull and deck), fittings removed to consolidate watertightness, rudders removed and rings replaced. More than 70000 euros refit between 2014 and 2015. This is a fast and light boat which tacks well closer for a catamaran without keel. We put her on sale to buy a smaller monohull but we will miss the look and the comfort.
