ALUMINIUM CUTTER 53' Year 2011385 000 € VAT paid
Following a long experience as a sailor and traveller, the owner/builder of this voyage cutter decided to design, build and then sail the world aboard his "perfect" boat. The wheelhouse was a central point, but the cockpit had to be nice too, the inside layout had to be cosy for two persons, but also comfortable for 7 when some friends or family members come aboard. But most of all, the ship had to be easily manageable by a very short handed crew of two, easy to maintain (fixed keel), fast and comfortable. We can say this ship ticks all the boxes and after 7 years around the world, she is ready to go again, hot or cold destinations, with a new crew aboard.
Owner's words
I would say that my boat is the most beautiful, the best at sailing, the more comfortable etc... and you would not believe me (and you would be right!) but I can say she has been better than I expected, and I was expecting a lot. She reaches her max.speed quickly, sails upwind well and has been displaying impressive average speeds. Examples :
- Fidji to Polynesia, upwind against the streams : 1980 NM GPS, 2268 NM on the water in 12 days, including 1000NM in 5 days.
- Nuku Hiva to Hilo Hawaii : 2220 NM GPS, 2308 NM on the water 12 jours ½ (some days at 208, 202, 199 NM).
And all this sailing in a perfect comfort : a dream !
