DERIVEUR ALU PLAN JOUBERT Year 1997114 000 € VAT paid
Solid aluminium weighted centerboarder, double rudder, "El Rapid" model, on Michel Joubert layout and built by Construction Marine located in Lorient, France. Fitted for voyage, simplicity and common sense are the driving forces behind the concept. The shallow draught allows to go to isolated anchor places or on rivers. The two large double cabins and the "breton" berth make the saloon enjoyable, still providing privacy at night.
Stirodur insulation above floating line. Recent paint, rigging changed in 2015.
This is THE seaworthy boat for a family circumnavigation without worry.
We purchased the boat in 2008 as the owner used to sail just coastal and never really used her. We left in Frebuary 2009 to sail the Atlantic and live onboard. We crossed to the West Indies, the Carribean, the USA up to Washington, until 2015 when we crossed back to stay a year in Portugal and then come back to the Mediterranean sea in 2017, and then put the boat on sale. For 10 years we enjoyed the quality of construction and the maintenance simplicity of the boat. The hull designed by Michel Joubert is elegant, comfortable and efficient in tough weather, as well as light enough to surf in light wind.
