ELLYA 43 Year 2010
Designed by Gildas Plessis and built at Alumarine for her two enthusiast owners, this aluminium weighted centerboarders, twin rudders and twin engines was designed to travel with only a couple aboard. The comfort is everywhere; insulation and heating system, deep freezer, electric and fresh water self sufficiency, deck saloon, large galley facing forward, aft owner cabin with a desk (and a real 4 bases seat) etc... A former offshore racer was in charge with the deck fittings and sails; you can imagine what has been done. Perfect to sail the world right now, only a few details will have to be checked.
Owner's words
We decided to have this sailboat built to sail far, and this is what we did. We have been sailing to Ireland, Sapin, the Netherlands and then we departed the Mediterranean and the Adriatic, back by the French channels. We found out that the ship was a very efficient sailor and was also good at motoring on the channels (only 2,30m air draft without mast). The life aboard is very sweet and we always felt secure, whatever the weather, due to the 100% aluminium ,hull and deck and the watertight companionway hatch allowing to stay locked inside, dry, warm and secure when the weather becomes really bad. We would like this nice ship to go on sailing and travelling, what she is made for, and to find some new enthusiast owners.
