FIRST 40.7 Year 2001
This famous Bruce Farr design (racing version) has been upgraded with a cockpit opening on bathing platform, a mainsail track in the bottom of the cockpit, a retractable carbon bowsprit and a hydraulic backstay. The interior is in good condition and the space in the saloon and cabins is very appreciable for such a fast boat. The set of sails is complete (cruising sails + racing sails) and the boat can be sailed alone without any problem. A hull designed for racing, but a boat that will also take you on cruises where lovers of sail trimming and performance will find what they need.
Owner's words
I really liked this First 40.7 in this "racing" version (long mast, large draught and rod rigging), she's fast and easy to sail, even alone. Inside, the headroom (about 2m), the volume and the cabins are very appreciable for a boat of this category and speed like this one.
The modifications made on this model cockpit opening on bathing platform, installation of the rail in the bottom of the cockpit and retractable bowsprit) are very clever and bring even more pleasure when sailing and at anchor.
