HANSE 400 Year 2010
On plans from Judel / Vrolijk the Hanse yard produced the European Yacht of the Year in 2005 and 2006. This solid German 40' is very efficient in all points of sail and will give a lot of sensations to her crew thanks to the quality of the fittings and the precision of the steering. Its self-tacking jib offers the advantage of tacking effortlessly in the breeze. In light winds, the geenaker makes it possible to lengthen the stride. Inside, the volume and the trendy design as well as the quality of construction are appreciated. An endearing and innovative yacht which is offered to you to sail differently!
Owner's words
It has always been a pleasure to sail on this boat (my third), which I have fitted out for manoeuvring and sailing with a reduced crew or alone in the "company" of the whims of the Mediterranean Sea! The version with 2 WC/SDB has proved its usefulness, with various crews and teenagers, comfort on board for all and "safety (a clogged toilet has never been a problem) I have added awnings under the boom and on the side (essential after days of sun, for the setting sun ...). Very comfortable the 2 optional gates on lines taken in option. I finally added a davit as the use/folding of the dinghy was a chore. Navigation and Radar equipment in perfect working order. The autopilot is really good, all the sailing manoeuvres (reefing etc...) are done under cover from the cockpit.
