Designed by the talented Patrick BALTA for a knowleagable sailor, built by Charlie Capelle, Technologie Marine, the Tocade 50 is a excellent seagoing cutter, epoxy molded wood on transverse frame. Efficient, very safe, fast and fully equipped for travelling, this large sailboat, elegant and seaworthy is a pleasure to steer. 150,000 euros of upgrades in 2015 and 2016 (equipments and works) and a nice just finished Awlgrip Flag Blue paint. The ideal boat for great family trips, aboard a very modern sailboat with a certain classical charm with its solid wood interiors treated and varnished and white lacquers.
I bought this boat from its first owner in 2014. I was seduce by its absolute elegance and its undeniable design and consctruction qualities. A magnificient achievement . She never disappointed me, she is frank in its reactions, healthy and predictable while operating incredibly well. Her first owner had made a round trip to the Caribbean and Atlantic cruises. Me, I went to Dakar with a return by the Canary Islands. I had the idea to sail further, and I preapared her for this purpose with additions, replacements and amenities to make her ready to go on a trip. Finally, this is not the time for me to leave, my land obligations hold me and I can not bring myself to leave her unused.
