UNIVERSAL YACHTING 49.9 Year 2002
Built by Universal Yachting, Guy FILLON's shipyard from a Fauroux design, this aluminium twin keels ship is a real traveller. Her cutter rigging, twin rudders, comfort and self sufficiency equipments but also an efficient and strong construction are the elements that make a safe and reliable support to go and sail away, with your family or even as a couple. Battened main sail and cutter rigging make the sailing easier and safe. The inside layout is both beautiful and practical due to the chart table an galley on both sides of the companionway, a large U-shaped saloon and three comfortable and large cabins. A fast, seaworthy and elegant first hand sailboat with a new 80CV Yanmar.
Owner's words
We have always been dreaming about sailing the world together. In 2000, we started looking for the sailboat to accomplish this dream. Our search brought us to visit shipyards in almost all the regions of France. We finished this trip with an impressive list of specs we wanted... 16 years of sailing around the world, with all the possible weather conditions, sailing 80 000NM, we have no regrets at all. Her limited draught allows to sail the shallow waters, not worrying about the keels. The tender locker is also something impressively practical to travel the world. This sailboat offers all the voyage boat caracteristics, she allowed us to fulfill our dream in the best possible conditions and we would chose exactly the same if we would have to make a choice again. Your turn now!
