There are some boats that leave no one indifferent, so obvious are they, from the point of view of their general lines or their deck layout and fittings. The Sunbeam 42DS, admirably built at the Austrian Schöchl Yachtbau yard, is an excellent example. Her lines are both classic and timeless, her finishes irreproachable and its seaworthiness indisputable. She is a true cruising yacht with a central cockpit and all the comforts and safety features you'd expect, a good sailer at all tacks and safe in all sea conditions. Carefully maintained, she's ready to set sail again for new destinations in both cold and warm weather.
Owner's words
We are putting up for sale our boat on which we have been sailing for 11 years. She is a very well equipped SUNBEAM 42DS from 2001, which has benefited from continuous improvements and constant monitoring. We have sailed from the Aegean Sea (Greece, Turkey) to Norway on this very well-built cruising yacht. The sails are in very good condition (every year, the sails were rinsed, dried and stored dry) and the boat was taken out of the water every winter. The main engine, generator and outboard have been serviced every year. She's a good sailor (100m² upwind) and a good motor sailor (100 hp). She easily reaches 7 kn. In the end, she is the boat we have kept the longest. Her ease of use made her perfect for our program of voyages and long cruises.
